Registration
Pre-registration
The pre-registration form (Form 5A) contains information on the courses to be enrolled and assessment of matriculation fees.
New students receive the pre-registration form together with the admission notice. Continuing students receive the pre-registration form at the learning centers during the second study session, for the students' consideration. Any change in the number of courses a student makes in the pre-registration form, which is submitted on the third study session, shall mean a re-assessment of fees that the student is to pay by the Office of the University Registrar.
Students pay the assessed/re-assessed matriculation fees indicated in the processed pre- registration form at any Philippine National Bank (PNB) branch. The duplicate copy of the PNB payment slip (machine-validated) is submitted to the learning center coordinator on the day of the registration as proof of payment.
Pre-registration is not a warranty of enrollment in the university even if fees have been paid. Students must finalize enrollment by accomplishing the official registration form (Form 5) at the Learning Center during the registration period.
Registration
Students are required to register on the scheduled registration period at a designated Learning Center. Their presence on registration day is equivalent to attending a study session.
A general orientation to the UPOU system is given to new students. Both new and continuing students are required to attend the course orientation conducted by the tutors of each course they are enrolled in on the day of the registration.
Students who fail to register during the scheduled regular registration period may be allowed to enroll during the one-week late registration period. A fine for late registration of Php 50.00 shall be paid.
