Librero designated member of AMIC International Advisory Committee
Chancellor Felix Librero was recently appointed member of the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) International Advisory Committee. He will serve in the Committee from 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2006. This is the first time that a high level Advisory Committee for AMIC has been created.
Dr. Indrajit Banerjee, AMIC Secretary General, said that AMIC has implemented reforms for its structure, management and activities to enhance its position as Asia's premier media and communication research and publication institution. One of the reforms is the constitution of the advisory committee.
The Secretary General stated that Librero as member of the high-level committee will advise AMIC in its research, publications, events and capacity building initiatives. He added that with Dr. Librero's expertise in the fields of communication and research, AMIC is confident that the organization will be able to spearhead Asian communication research and development in the 21 st century.
