UPOU holds Colloquia for July
The UP Open University held two colloquia on organizing and managing data. The colloquia were titled "Google Apps and Multimedia Management" and "Using Rich Media for Education: Two Approaches."
The speakers in the colloquium held on 4 July 2008 were Prof. Al- Francis Librero, Mr. Jericho Tolentino, and Mr. Joshua Ebarvia, all from UPOU's Management Information System Office (MISO). They spoke on Google Apps and multimedia management.
The second colloquium conducted on 18 July 2008 was moderated by the Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Studies (BAMS) faculty members. Prof. Diego Silang Maranan presented his lecture titled "Visualizing Data: Using Design to Make Sense of an Information Rich World. " Prof. Alejo Espinosa's lecture was "Web 2 Tools and Rich Media Platforms."
The two colloquia are part of the series of lectures organized by Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs to provide a venue for UPOU faculty and staff members to discuss their new discoveries and learning related to distance education. (Margie Brendia, OVCAA).
