Senator Pangilinan creates scholarship program in UPOU
The Hon. Francis N. Pangilinan Scholarship Grant for Providing Opportunities for Education through Distance Education was launched during the 9 th anniversary celebration of the University Philippines Open University (UPOU) in February 2004.
Senator Pangilinan donated P2.5M to be used as scholarship funds for students admitted in the UPOU programs in education, information and communication studies, and management and development studies.
The funds will make it possible for graduate students who are teachers, knowledge workers, policy makers, public managers, administrators, and practitioners to improve their skills and competencies while they are enrolled in distance learning.
